Abstract:In order to reduce the vibration and acoustic noise of permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) caused by inverter, first, the vibration and noise sources of PMSM caused by inverter were analyzed, and the simulation model build by MATLAB/Simulink was compiled by dSPACE to control a PMSM. Then, the advantages and disadvantages of random switching frequency modulation technique and deadtime compensation technique in reducing the vibration and acoustic noise were compared, and a method that mixed random switching frequency and deadtime compensation was proposed. Finally, the experimental results indicated that the proposed method could integrate the advantages of random switching frequency modulation and deadtime compensation technology, and reduced both the midlow frequency noise and vibration that was caused by current harmonics introduced by inverter and the high frequency noise and vibration that was caused by interaction of switching frequency of inverter and harmonic of current.
