Section 1 Submission

My research field is xxxx. Does it fall within the journal’s publishing scope?

Please read our Submission Instruction. If not sure, you could make submission anyway. Our editors will take a preliminary review on all manuscripts and reject those not in our scope within 3 days.

I made a submission but not through this website. Could you check it for me?

We are sorry but probably you are deceived. This is the official website (www.motor-abc.cn) of the journal and the only way of submission. The journal has a strict peer review process. It would be a fraud if your article is accepted without peer review.

I find a website which claims to be the submission agency of the journal and guarantees my manuscript shall be accepted. Is it possible?

No, it isn’t.

Is the journal a core journal?

This journal is still included by Key Magazine of China Technology. In the 2021 edition of the Chinese Science and Technology Journal Citation Report (Core Edition/Natural Science Volume), the impact factor of the journal is 0.752. However, the 2017 and 2020 editions of the Catalogue of Chinese Core Journals did not include this journal. Please confirm your requirement before submitting.

Section 2 Timing

How long does it take for peer review?

The whole review process is 1~2 months.

How long does it take from submission to acceptance?

This cycle is difficult to determine due to the difference of manuscript quality, expert review time, and author revision time. If there is no need for second-review (the manuscript does not involve “major revision” and the experts do not require a second-review), and the revised manuscript submitted by authors meets the requirements, it can be accepted within one week after the revision is completed.

How long does it take from submission to publishing?

It usually takes 3~4 months from acceptance to publishing. The total time from submission to publishing may be about half a year.

I need the article urgently to be a proof of professional title or graduation condition. Can I apply for fast-track publishing after acceptance? 

It usually takes 3~4 months from acceptance to publishing. If you have a special demand, please contact the editorial office via E-mail. Your article might be published in advance if the situation allows but we cannot make any promise.

Why the article has been published in print journal but not indexed by a database?

It takes time for data processing. The data shall be transmitted to databases within one week. Articles are usually displayed in databases within 2 weeks.

Section 3 Peer Review Result

What if the reviewer’s revision suggestion is unreasonable?

In a small number of cases, reviewers are not familiar with the specific research topic, and it is possible that reviewer’s opinion be biased. Authors can submit a statement while uploading the revised manuscript and explain your doubts about a certain opinion. The revision against that opinion shall be unnecessary if your explanation is accepted by the editor-in-chief or other experts.

What if I disagree with your decision of rejection?

Authors may make an appeal if they disagree with the decision of rejection. The manuscript and the appeal letter will be reviewed by the editor-in-chief and/or other experts. If the appeal is successful, the review process of the manuscript will be re-opened.

The reviewer’s comment is valuable and helpful. Can I contact the reviewer for academic exchange?

The journal adopts blind review system and will not disclose contact information of reviewers. If necessary, you can write an essay and the editorial office shall forward it to the reviewer. It’s the reviewer’s decision whether she/he shall give you a feedback or contact you in person.

How does the journal charge for publishing an article?

The journal doesn’t charge any fees to authors.

I really need to publish a paper. Can I buy one?

No. It is absolutely prohibited.

I received two free copies of the current issue? I would like to buy more copies.
